Tried again yesterday. Took the girls, put in at W.O.Thompson Landing. Cruised down the Ashley at the max speed of 23 mph per the garmin out of the truck. Not too bad considering 4 people two coolers in a 14 McKee with a 30. Anyway, was trying to get to the jetties. Got just past the bridges and marina when the chop picked up alot more htan I was comfortable with my 3 girls onboard. Said the heck with that, and followed a couple Flippers around for a little bit. It was a momma and and a baby. Tried fishing a couple different spots in the Ashley with not a bite. To top it off, in the truck on the way home, my 5 year says " Daddy, next time we go fishing, can we go somewhere there is fish to catch?" Talk about some salt in the wound. Hope everybody had better luck catching than we did, but I wouldn’t trade that day for a bunch of fish.
