Decided to catch up with my buddy who goes to Clemson…unfourtantely. haha but decided to fish his dock which is on a flat. Thought that the reds would be there, but after a while nothing was happening. We caught a few stingrays and whiting. We were bored cuz nothing was biting, so we took out the kayaks and went to a huge patch of grass that was about 100yds from his dock. We only brought 2 rods with popping corks with the salt water assasin “Hot Chicken” and “Opening Night”. I was very impressed with the durability and how well the bites were. I caught my first trout with an artificial! I am now hooked for trout! I caught and landed 3 big ol trout and caught a few other that spit the hook. My buddy caught and landed 2 trout and missed more than me 
In about 1 hour, we landed 5 respectful trout. I am now hooked and we are going to go again. Didn’t catch anything on trout tricks except oysters. But overall, great day!
