Fished everywhere. Missed a couple and caught a 2#3oz slab crappie on a big threadfin in Hollow Creek. Moved to get gas and fish Crystal Lake. Caught a few Striper, 2# largemouth and nice Cat. Moved from there to Ramp 4 and caught 5 more Striper. Fished 6:4am-1:15pm. Fished big herring, Small Gizzards and big threadfins. Fished anywhere from no weight to 3/4oz weights behind boards. Slow day, 10 fish, good times.
It was good to see you and your dad yesterday Mike! I pulled from 8:30 to 11:30 and was blessed enough to get 5 decent keepers to 8 pounds with a host of shorts and a couple of slab perch in 20-40fow. I fished until 3, fartin’ around with various spoons, and ended up picking up Spoonmaster at his dock to go jerk some nice perch to end the day. Good times!
Talk about a slow day. My neighbor & I went yesterday morning, fished from 7:30am till about 1pm with one small 15" striper in the boat. We put in at #3 & went up from there, pulling Ned’s herring behind boards, freelines & a couple down rods. We covered deep, shallow, and everything in between. We had several short strikes, but that was it. The single fish came out of 60 ft. of water, while we were crossing the channel. Beautiful day though.
