My fishing buddy had to back out due to sickness, so I decided to try for some low tide reds OTF. I’m still learning, but was able to locate a school I found a few weeks ago and sneak up on them. Before they got too freaky, I was able to stick one @ 23.5" using a fly I tied recently (brown/white clouser). Tagged and released. There is not much more fun than strip-striking a nice red! This was my only fish to the boat but in my book a fish landed OTF is worth 10 in the bush.
Had one other fish on for about 10 sec and he spit the hook. 1 for 2 for the day.
Merry Christmas everyone!
