Fished today by myself. Beautiful day on the water. Put in around 10am and left at 2pm. Fished mid lake in the coves pulling freelines and planer boards. Caught 7, kept 2 for dinner. Smallest was 20" and largest was 25".
Also fished 12-27-12 with the kids. We caught 5 stripers and 1 largemouth. All stripers were 21" to 23". Lost 2 fish. One broke the leader, not sure what happened there as my boy had the rod and the other I forgot to put a bead on the line and the planer board knocked the fish off. Fished the same area as today.
Thanks for the report RQ… I had the day free to go fishing and couldn’t decide what to do…been working alot and been hectic with family stuff for the holidays, so in the end I decided to to just hang out and relax today. I went as far as heading over to Anglers South this am and confirmed they had bait. Then I got home and didn’t have it in me to hook up and head on up the lake.
I normally don’t fish this time of year and didn’t realize you can still catch some down this end or I would have put in at Hilton and at least got out for a few hours for sure.
