Got to head offshore yesterday with some friends. Left the dock at around 4:00 and headed for Edisto Banks. Lines were in the water as the sun was coming up. First fish was a Wahoo followed by another Wahoo. It was all Dolphin after that for a total of 10 nice gaffers. We had a GREAT day with no missed strikes and all fish landed. Days totals:
2 Wahoo
10 Dolphin
Fighting fish makes you thirsty. After all, you have to remain hydrated:smiley:

Saw you guys out there. We were the 26 Scout Abaco (yellow hull) that trolled right past you and chatted for a minute on the radio. You guys had a good morning. It was still pretty early when we spoke and you had 10 at that point. Good job on the good day.
You can’t buy class like that…not even with a paeso.
RDW you could see my post titled EB 5/1/08 and combined that one with this one (since I saw him out there). Edisto Banks was full of life yesterday. Ya’ll have fun!

Great day. We fished on the north side of the banks all day. Went out to 700’ and only caught 5. 1 in 230’, 2 in 450’, and 2 in 600’. How deep were most of your fish? I’m just curious to see if the ledge held them at only 70 degrees or if you got them deeper and warmer water. Thanks.
Thanks everyone. I can’t wait to get out again. GuyA, all fish were in 200 to 250 feet. I can’t tell you the temp as the gauge was not working right. I know we got lucky, but like my dad always said “I would always rather be lucky than good.”
