12 Nov Offshore bottomfishing

Picked our way out thru some cool scattered fog from Remley Point and found a mill pond - all day. Caught up to Miss Amanda jigging up bait and later watched her hold fast on the hook while a HL vessel had to alter course to get by both of us.
Lots of Gray & Queen Triggers, three ARS, one yellow lip brown critter, one speckled hind, one lionfish (‘properly’ released), various other colorful bottom dwellers and a 45 minute tug o’ war with a toothy critter bigger than any one of us (and we’ve all been eatin’ good).
Lots to fillet manana

It was great meeting you and your crew out there. It was a wonderful day!

Long Enuff

Wish we could have found some triggers. Seems like that is the only thing we couldn’t find.

I guess we were pretty lucky, we only threw back a few unwanted/prohibited fish. Can’t wait for another opportunity!!

That sure is a good lookin’ little bote in the pic!!:wink:
