13 whaler

A buddy hit a submerged stump in freshwater and put a nasty hole in between the tri hulls. …any suggestions. I am thinking mat, woven, mat, woven?

Might give Spartina Co a call for advice, they do Whaler resto all day

KC Boatworks in Hollywood (843)810-2562 . Kenny restored my 1976 15’ whaler in 2001, he has been doing them for 30+ yrs. Worth giving him a call,as everything is cheaper in the country.

Kenny does great work! Have seen many whalers he has done, Gona do mine this winter!

whaler is a pretty simple fix for the DIY.
clean up the area good, a couple layers of woven and a layer of mat is all I would use.
the glass on a whaler is pretty thin, because of the foam sandwich.
I wouldn’t even waste the money of epoxy unless you have it. the entire boat is polyester.
just make sure its VERY dry before you start.

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING

Thank you the hole is very much on the bottom so it’s drying. West System and mat and woven is the plan.
