I know most 15’s are used to drop flies back to teased up fish, but how does it cast? pretty fast? I threw a TFO bluewater rod (no comparison to the Loomis, i know) the other day and it had a monstrous butt section great for puttin pressure on during a fight, but the tip felt like a noodle.
Its definitely got a backbone to it, the tip is pretty stiff. It casts great though. I had never used such a heavy weight before so it took a little practice in the backyard. I love the rod, but I just don’t use it enough to keep it.
Ya know I have been looking for a new rod for Bream and bass fishin… I don’t get offshore or find anything I’d need that for… I have a 12wt I have never used… I heard of a guyup in Virginia or Maryland whoi was looking… I’ll pass on your info…
