I have a 2004 150 Yamaha four stroke that will not pee with the garden hose. It works just fine in the water. I have tried compressed air into the hose where it enters the block while garden hose was attached running full steam. Any Ideas. I used boat all weekend and it cooled the engine fine but still a dry pee hole when flushing the motor a days end
Did it ever pee with the garden hose? If so, push some heavy mono through it.

Muffs or the quick connect attachment for the hose? If muffs it could be the muffs (unless you are saying it always worked before).
It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!
Ruttroe I know what your going through, I have a Yammy F150 also and owned it since 04 and from basically after the first year I too started to experience the same issue that you are having now. With that said I would flush my motor by using the hose attatchment, but I religously replaced my impeller every season. Recently doing my impeller I asked two different mechanics at two different shops and the answer was pretty much the same, here it goes they basically stated that the higher horsepower motors were more difficult to flush on the muffs, and if there was not enough water pressure it was more likely they wouldnt pee. So your not alone with this issue but with that all said I wouldnt replace my motor for any other !!!
when it comes out the pee hole- does it burn?

I have a 2001 Yamaha 115 4 stroke. Sometimes it pees with the hose attached to the flush connection and sometimes it doesn’t. I have never had a problem with the cooling system and it does fine on the water and hooked up with muffs. I also believe that the water pressure is generally not enough for the larger motors.

if it burns what does that mean?

I have an 2006 F200 and water comes through the P- hole every time when hooked to the hose attachment. Your water pressure is insufficient.

I have an 08 F150 Yamaha. I don’t think it has ever had any water from the “pee hole” while connected to a hose with muffs. The first time I took it back to the dealer the mechanic showed me several small water inlet holes on the lower unit that are NOT covered by most muffs. The mechanic stuck some duct tape over these holes and shazam! It peeded like a race horse. That is why it pees in the water but not on the hose. You can get it to pee by increasing the water pressure or covering those extra holes. BTW, Yamaha sez to flush the engine with the engine off and use the engine mounted flush hose attachment for ten minutes.

i dont know why, but some motors (exact hp and model) will pee on the hose, and others wont.
if they dont pee on the hose, we just put them in a drum, and unless they have some issue, usually pee in the drum
