2 weeks ago I was fishing of a dock on Bohicket Creek on Johns island. I was using a light tackle Penn Pursuit rod and reel combo with a bottom rig. I used cut mullet for bait and was fishing for whiting when I hooked up with this monster stingray! I have never seen on so big in the creek before.
Buddy, if I know stingrays like I think I know stingrays (and believe me I’ve caught my fair share), that son of a gun woul tip the scales at more than 15. I bet that was a great fight.
Caught some in the Kiawah Beach surf that were around 80lb easy. It was on light tackle and a true blast
