Took a little break from hunting & headed out for the frist time in months as the wind was going to be 5mph!That was a bad ass 5. we only went out to some close #s as we got a late start. Took a little while to get hooked up, but when we did, we got 3 limits of bsb’s in short order. Didn’t messure many as most were between 18 & 14", nice, & gorging on small cigars. They made a mess in the boat, barfing them up. we tried to get some baitfish which filled the screen but were to small to hook on the sabikis we used. There were lots of triggers picking us clean but we were using 7/0 circles trying for the larger bite, worked good on the bsb’s as all we caught were big. did not get a bite on ars/groupers. Water temp was 65 & the wind layed down, rode in at 35. Fun as always with Capt. Jimmy & Auggie Dog aboard Omega 3.
Should hve SPELL CHECKED my post,left off one “. 14” to 18" on bsb’s it’s about as good as they get!We could see the bridges from were we were fishing in 80’.
jws we went to the red snapper spot I took you to, the bsb’s were quality, just no ars or groupers. We saw you at the 60 when we trying to get bait, didn’t know it was you!
Well bug catcher, looks like I will be getting in this Saturday, maybe we can make a trip together. My boat needs to get wet, hasn’t been since ya’ll went diving off of it. Sound like you had a pretty good day. Have you tried over at the black sea banks lately.
How long you in for this time? Your buddy killed another one last weekend (a buck finally)I think thats 8, way behind my 16! we have been going a little farther out then the black banks,trying to hook up on some groupers, not much luck,but quality keepers anyway. call when you get in.
