Frank Bullitt’s car is a 1968 Ford Mustang 390 GT 2+2 ■■■■■■■■. The bad guys drive a 1968 Dodge Charger 440 Magnum. The Charger is just barely faster than the Mustang, with a 13.6-second quarter-mile to a 13.8-second.
Mine had a 302 Boss engine, upgraded from the factory 289, 2 Holley quad carbs, Hurst 4 speed, competition clutch…it was the fastest car I’ve ever owned. You better be pointing in the right direction when you let off the clutch

My 69 Road Runner, would have eaten that Boss for lunch[:0] 383, 355HP, 4 speed! I could out run a 440 GTX through the 1/4, but a 440 would come around me much after that!
Just a heads up ,She turned over today… Now just to get her fired up. If anyone knows a good old school mechanic that works on carbs/old cars shoot me a PM. Thank you to all who have looked so far & all the helpfulness!! It’s really appreciated.
Where are you located? I have a '66 myself and did classic Mustang resto full time for a few years. I can probably get her going for you or at least give you some pointers.
Gail, they would run, wouldn’t they. I got married and had a kid and my RR turned into a Station Wagon
Easy ; It would run like a scalded cat, but was like a battleship,
the anchor would fall out at every gas station!!!
Marriage and kids did mine in too!!!
