I have a 1977 mako with a 225 yamaha ox66 which I feel is under powered but, I do not know the prop size I have now Its not marked on the prop its a 3 blade prop!!! However I am only running 26-27 mph WOT @4100 rpms!!! Which I know is way off I feel I should be around 5400 rpms @ 34-36 mph?!?!?! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Is this boat new to you? If it is and only running 4100, may have an engine issue not allowing it to run WOT. If it is getting on plain easy and then only pulling to 4100 may not be prop issue. ??? If it was under/small propped it would get on plain easy and then max out limited rmps. If over/big propped it would take a while to get on plain and never reach rated rpm’s.
