Sportscraft boats were made in Perry Fla - gulf coast area below Tallahassee. They were in and out of bankruptcy for most of thier existence. The construction quality went up and down to mirror their financial condition - but they always used cheap OEM parts = fittings, etc. I lived there for 4 years - knew some of the guys that worked there - bunch of potheads and outlaws. Just a warning.

Agree with g8rnsc, poor quality and bad ride, go for name brand. Early 80’s would be Mako, Hydra Sport, Whaler, MAYBE GW, up to '83 or so; If cruising, Wellcraft, Chris Craft, Sea Ray {not Seville}, Stamas, Shamrock.
