I am looking for a parts diagram for the throttle assembly on a 1983 Johnson outboard motor model number J5RHCTA so I can determine the part number of the broken part and try to find a replacement. This motor belongs to my father and he is trying to describe the part he needs, but I am thinking it will be easier with a diagram. My go to site and every other site I found does not have a parts breakdown for the throttle assembly.

Call Allan’s Marine in Florence, SC. He will have the diagram, likely have the part, or worse case he can order it and have it drop shipped to you.
I would venture to say he knows more about older Johnsons and Evinrudes than anyone else in the state. Has bought out the inventory of many older defunct marine store’s parts inventory so he has a great deal of odd parts on hand…

Select the envirude menu in the top left corner and pick Johnson, drill down from there to your motor, it’s in there. The web page URL doesn’t link directly to the motor unfortunately.
