Hope someone can help, just bought a bass tracker with this motor.Re-built the carbs, have 150 lbs of compression both cylinders and spark. She fires up and then promptly fouls the plugs. No water in fuel, mixture is correct.Plugs are NGK BPR7HS gapped at 30.One thing I noticed while running it was that the pee stream never got hot, engine warmed up but not the water sream.Driving me crazy trying to solve this, any thoughts greatly appreciated!
There should be a “lean and rich” adjustment screw or knob on the side of the carbureuter. Have you tried adjusting that? Sound like its too rich or dumping too much fuel. Could also be a needle valve sticking. Just because the carbureuter was re-built doesnt necessarily mean it was done right.

Adjustments are fine,I’m going to check the linkage between the two carbs and make sure the float is adjusted properly. Also going to try Champion plugs which were originally recommended for this motor.I appreciate your thoughts, this one is making me pull my hair out.
Water not getting hot sounds like someone took thermostat out.

Thats what I thought too, mechanic says the 93 circulates water differently.Put in champion plugs and ran for couple of minutes without fouling so far.going to run it a little longer this afternoon to see what happens.
