Im having an issue with keeping my engine running at idle in the water…I replaced the water pump last week, cranks and runs fine on the muffs, but after I run it in the river under full power and come back down to idle, the engine will not idle. Also, it is hard to get it back started once it shuts off. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
Start simple and work your way forward. Primer pump, vent open on fuel tank, filter clean, spark plug, Has it been sitting for a long time? If so I’d bet on a carb cleaning.
