Im having an issue with keeping my engine running at idle in the water…I replaced the water pump last week, cranks and runs fine on the muffs, but after I run it in the river under full power and come back down to idle, the engine will not idle. Also, it is hard to get it back started once it shuts off. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Power pack maybe? Kind of like it gets over heated and has to cool down then run fine afterwards.
Might suggest cleaning the carbs.

I would lean toward a fuel issue, but you need to use an inline spark checker and check spark under load, and see if it is losing spark, then check to see if the plugs are wet or dry, telling you if you have a lean or rich condition
