Tried my hand at flats fishing today…man it was fun and interesting…I got out there today around 230 and started just walking around seeing where I could walk…I saw a lot of bait fish and tons of blue crabs…I saw some fiddler crabs when I was first getting into the water…after a while I started blind casting a bit since its been awhile with a fly rod in my hand…low and behold I casted at some bait and saw a big push of water going in the other direction…I had no idea there was a fish there…after that I walked around some just trying to get used to walking a flat and had another fish spook from behind me…all in all it was a good day, I got to see what it’s all about and I got to try my Simms Flats bootie which worked great…
Sounds like a good day, maybe we can get together one day this week
