finally decided to try the things myself and stopped at the river on my way home from work. 1st getting there i saw a 20"ish red by the shore and an 8 foot gator right by the pier just waiting to steal a fish from me. tossed around a bit and once in a while got a tight line but was proably the bottom. shortly after one was bitten in half by either bluefish or a trout. not long after that i thought i hooked a nice flounder but bucket a trout thats right at 14" right under the pier before the gator could snatch it. got another bump or 2 but didnt get whatever hit. looks like they work good, but do they break in half after every missed fish? the trout i landed nearly ripped it in half too.
Yes they work used them today 1st time also. I must of caught 25 to 30 all small 10" to 13".
