TomFish and I made it out about 12 miles and fished for a few hours with decent results. Tom caught the prize of the day which was a doormat flounder that was stuck under a rock pretty well until he pulled it out. The bite slowed down as the water chopped up towards noon. My last fish of the day was a nice knot head BSB that made feeding the bait stealers for an hour worth it. Thanks TomFish for another good day out on the water and thanks GutWrench for a good deal on the Penn combo.

BTW the doctor estimated that I stabbed the screwdriver 1 1/2 to 2 inches into my hand between the knuckles of my index and middle fingers. my palm is black and blue today and it still hurts like **** to straighten my hand out.

Key learning. A small flat bladed screwdriver is essentially an ice pick, so one slip and it goes DEEP into soft tissue. Good news is the hand is more flexible today and my palm is more flesh toned than black/blue/sickly green.
I’ll be ready for the next opportunity.
