2-1-2014 offshore?

Been mulling about trying to spend some time outside the jetties tomorrow. Forecast looks like it could be decent, but perhaps not. I wanted to go to y73 if weather permits. Earlier this week, I had ambitions of trolling, but it might be blowing too much for me to make it that far out. 23 ft convex deep V hull.

I’ve seen wind forecasts from 5-15 and primary swell forecasted to be 2-3 at ten seconds with potential for a 1-2 foot secondary chop. Last edisto bouy reading was 4.5 feet at ten seconds.

Is anyone else from charleston considering going out? Anyone want to buddy boat?

If I was in town I would think about it but I’m in Florida this weekend. Good luck out there if ya go. The closer reefs like the 60 are producing big fish too

Thanks, Ricky. One of the crew ended up bailing so we’ll likely not go outside the jetties anyhow. I guess the fish will live to die another day

Try the sheepshead at the close reefs, might be worth a shot.

No kidding. I sure didn’t weatherman said slight chance of rain in the afternoon. Oh okay.

We went out to the hunting island reef. It was nasty the forecast was way off.
