Nope, that line is actually an 8oz sinker going down.
I’ll tell you what we caught at each spot. (It’s just what we caught on Saturday, not saying that you couldn’t catch other species on this same bottom.
A. Beeliners and porgies and grunts and the ocasional BSB
B. BSBs and porgies
C. Didn’t catch any triggers, but any bottom fisherman would tell you that its triggerfish. Caught lots of porgies and BSB at this spot.

Not this one... I would have suggested that you were on the edge of the school of what you just drifted across...
It’s funny though… I’ve got 150+ dives in Charleston, and I only remember seeing 1 large school of trigger fish.
I’ve seen thousands of trigger fish and most of the time, they are either solo or in small groups of 2-3 fish… Many times they are mixed in with other species.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m 100% sure that you can see a school of triggers on the sonar, but I also believe that there are more false “sonar identifications” from the bottom fishermen on this site than accurate ones.
PS… At least take the time to explain to everyone that you were drifting and pinging the same fish under the boat over and over again as you slowly drifted from one spot to the other. I wonder how this paints a school that is swimming around as your boat is moving and broadcasting a cone shaped sonar onto a 2D screen…
I also find it funny that even though those were definitely triggers on the sonar that you caught a ton of BSB’s and Porgies on that spot. Did they sneak under the boat in stealth mode to avoid being picked up by the sonar? They do that sometimes I hear…

Don’t hate the playa…

Sorry, my tone should be viewed as sarcasm, not animosity. I’m working with the Obama administration right now to implement the <SARCASM></SARCASM> tags on the interweb which should eliminate a lot of confusion, help to infuse capital into the banking system, control inflation\deflation, and give market confidence back as well… I’ll let you know how it pans out…
Also, as a historical note, these new tags are not meant as a successor to the <WITH ALL DUE RESPECT></WITH ALL DUE RESPECT> tags which essentially mean (according to the Geneva convention) that you can say anything that you want between those tags without causing offense to the end reader. Let me give you an example:
<WITH ALL DUE RESPECT>You don’t know what in the hell you are talking about</WITH ALL DUE RESPECT>
You see, in that example, it is clearly not intended to be taken as offensive as it is tightly wrapped in the appropriate XML tags. Using this exact same statement could be interpreted otherwise appearing in another context (i.e. outside of the proper XML tags).

HAHAHA! Cuz they’re winners… and winners get to do what they want!
