We left Sulivan’s Island at 4:00 AM but could not clear the sand bar on the ICW for 45 min. Snuck over and was in the harbor at 506. Ran out to 130 Ft and speed trolled out to the 226. We had no surface temp just one more thing on the short list but I felt like what we saw on hot spots the temp was about 72 degrees. We ran the line to the 380 hole and had 5 knock down from peanuts and boated one. I test the waters on the ledge and Top Gun confirmed it at 64 degrees. We lost a nice wahoo that toothed our in line teaser daisy 300 pound test but had him fighting for about 5 minutes. We also had a sail fish in the spread playing with the short flat line but would not take on the drop back. As others have said it was a lot of prospecting but the seas were gentle and the weather warm.
“but could not clear the sand bar on the ICW for 45 min”

We had the boat back by the DNR Dock and at low tide you can’t get out of the creek…
