Headed out early with Woody “Give me all your shad” Barnes. Started the day with trolling motor issues. Changed the battery in my remote and now I can’t make it turn left and the on/off button only works sometimes…We did the best we could with it. We spent the day from the elbow area up to Bush River and around to just below Clouds Creek. Water temps were much better this week ranging from about 46 degrees to as high as 54. Ended the day with 14 keepers, the biggest being right at 11#. All fish were caught pulling boards. Fish came from shallow water to as deep as about 30 feet or so. We fished shad and herring of different sizes and at the end of the day they all produced. All in all a great day on the water and good results for only being able to turn to the right!
Good report guys! How muddy was it up there? I guess it did not matter for you all or for the fish to “see” your bait! or it was the “right turn only” trick that made it?

Thanks for the report…you just made my week a little harder…ha…was pretty sure I had a good area picked out for saturday then yall throw that monkey wrench of a report into my plans. .ha…
I rode around the elbow area sunday and seen some pretty nasty water and didn’t go up any farther. Figured it would only get worse as I went up. .Found some 45* green water loaded with fish and bait but only had spoons on the reels. No takers…where to go what to do…hmmmmmmmm

I don’t get too hung up on the muddy water myself. I’m sure the fish can see better in clear water but if the fish are in muddy water, they have to eat too. Sometimes people shy away from the mud and you can get an area to yourself that might otherwise be more crowded. I think it’s more about the water temp right now and unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s going to warm up this week any…
With the remote, open it up and use a pencil eraser on the contacts. Sometimes they get corrosion on them
