Went looking for big temp break at 226 hole. We were delayed getting to the spot while dodging several rainstorms. Typical late July day … dragging a good spread but little action. Never did find that temp break. Around 1400’ we found some decent weed patches. With some ballyhoo still behind the boat in the outriggers stopped by a patch to throw out a spoon with spinning rod. No action there but a dolphin did snatch the sinking ballyhoo. Skunk off the boat!
Played in the area for awhile and picked up one more the same way.
Saw lots of scattered grass on the way home in 120’ of water but didn’t stop since it was so scattered.
Enjoyed the day on the water. Ran out and in at 30 mph.
