Finally took the Gheenoe out for some marsh hens this morning in Rockville. 2 man limit in an hour and a half or so, was a perfect hunt and the boat made it easy! It really does cut right through the grass while poling.
OH, got these with no dog too…was a lot of work but we enjoyed the workout.
Nice mess of marsh chickens there. Tides and wind are perfect this weekend, through about Tuesday probably.

I’d be lying if said I knew for sure. It belongs to my little cousin. I believe it’s 12 foot…the motor is a 6.8HP something or other. It does okay under power, but it’s not great. It could use a 15 or so, but the boat does a GREAT job in the grass. This was both of our first excursion with it and it performed awesome. Easy to pole and even easier to paddle.
