How many hours are Yamaha’s good for. A friend of mine is looking at a nice boat but it has 1400 hours on it. They are 2001 Yamaha 150’s HPDI. Thanks for yalls opinions.

i would not be afraid of those motors at all… great reputation and i’d rather see 1400 hours on 10 year old motors than 200 hours… sitting is the worst thing for an outboard. They should have a lot of life left in them.
