fished 2 times the last week, actually both saturdays which is unfortunately how things are working out for me these days. Any way last saturday 9/14 fished a mostly sand bottom creek and got on the flounder pretty good ended up with 6 with multiple missed bites and 2 cut/break offs, 5 reds 2 over slot, and 1 lady. Highlight of the day being a boat full of james islands finest rolling into the creek stopping in the corner i was fishing dropping anchor within casting range and proceeding to bail rats on double bottom drop rigs. Complete with lifejackets and case of heineken…ridiculous.
This past saturday headed out to sullivans (having to turn down some offshore trips bc family is in town). Hung out on the beach for a while playing with the baby and catching bait and caught a small trout and blue on a xrap, then hopped on the kayak and started working a productive but difficult to fish area and got 2 rats and 1 day maker 21" flounder (biggest in 2yrs).
thats that. flounder seem to be biting pretty good when you can get to em plenty mullet pushing out of the creeks and inlets. go get em because i am too busy to the next week at least!
