How freakin cool is this??? two of my fish I have caught here are World Records!!! Below is the e-mail I recieved… I guess I am almost as cool as ScottyD now :wink::stuck_out_tongue: here are the fish

Mangar, 34"

Aspirus Vorax, 25"

Dear Mr. Bergmann,

due to our worldwide network these are the facts:

  • your Mangar catch is a world record on fly rod
  • your Aspius vorax catch is the all tackle world record, as we have never read about a rod & reel catch of this species

We will integrate your Aspius vorax catch in our website.
If you are interested in an official certificate please contact www.igfa.org, the official world record committee.

Thanks guys! I am hoping that in the hopefully month I have left I bust those records out of the water :stuck_out_tongue::smiley: This is a first for me and I haven’t quit grinnin all day! I am going out tomorrow morning to a place I found that has fish bigger than these swimmin around… been throwin at them for a couple weeks and nuttin but I did get a few to turn at a fly so I have tweaked my patterns and I’m gettin back on 'em… All the flies I planned on tying for back home have falen off to the side as I keep tweaking the ones I have to try and get these bigguns to hit… :stuck_out_tongue: I better figure it out soon… I am running low on tying supplies :wink: Looking forward to getting home and stalking some reds with the fly rod… I dream about it every night… My wife would be pissed but in my dreams she is polling on the platform for me and runnin the boat :wink::stuck_out_tongue:
