Does anyone know anything about these motors? Never heard or even seen them before until today. Good or bad pro’s, con’s, anything.

Do some searching here or via google and you will read about a lot of issues with those early direct injection engines. Lot of powerhed failures and replacements. I’m sure some have been bullet proof. I believe OMC went bankrupt around that time. My point I guess is that I would not take the chance with the other choices in the used market from that era.

I read some about it in my research, seems they had some recalls. I guess my biggest problem is finding a used outboard. seems that people dont sell outboards like they do cars. Finding a used but newer motor seems to be more difficult than i thought. Any suggestions?
