2001 Yamaha F115 Fuel System

Starting having issues in spring 2013, but I lost my job of 14 years (first time ever being laid off). Anyway needless to say the boat took a back seat priority wise last year. It would start and run but wouldn’t idle, and would stall when pulling the throttle back. I change the water separator filter and the in-line filter in the little clear plastic tube on the engine regularly. I read that if the float is at the bottom of that tube there is no water in the fuel.
In the meantime, I sent the fuel injectors off and had them rebuilt. Now I have taken the VST tank out and cleaned it and replaced the filter. I poured the gas out of the VST into a glass and it was a little darker, but I didn’t see any water after letting it sit awhile. There was some trash in the VST tank, but no sludge or varnish looking stuff. The electric fuel pump looks fine. I have also decided to replace the low pressure fuel pump while I’m doing all this and have one on order.
So hear are my questions after all that.
Is there anything I’m missing ?
Should I go ahead and replace the primer bulb ?
ISC and/or IAC valve that has to do with idle control. I can’t seem find a photo online.
How do I find it on my motor and can I test it ?
The only thing I haven’t done is a compression check. I just learned how to do that and will do it once I get everything back together.
Is there anything I could be missing as I want to check everything I can while I have it torn down. Yes, I used fuel with ethanol, but always used a fuel stabilizer. There is only about 2-4 gallons of fuel in my tank.
BTW, before 2013, I would have taken it to the shop and let them fix it and been on my way, but I live in a different reality now. Truck boat, etc getting old, but no more new ones for me, maybe ever. I have to fix what I have and use it or sell it.
Any info is much appreciated.

I would go ahead and change the spark plugs while you are doing all the service, change lower unit oil and grease the prop, sounds like you have everything else done, when this is done maybe add some fresh gas 2-4 gallons may be kinda low for the pickup in the tank

can you hear it after you shut down motor. Chris V said Dunks Decarb (I really like his input on this forum). That’s what I would do. I would listen to Chris V and soak it in that stuff he recommends. Are you sure its IAC valve. Is your bulb a new ethanol proof one? If not it will turn hard.

Thanks for the info Gentlemen. Mr. A,I noticed that my bulb is hard, so it sounds like it may be time for a new one. On the IAC, I don’t know how to tell if it’s bad. I figured if all this doesn’t fix the problem, that might be the next thing to check.

check your oil and make sure that it does not smell like gasoline. mine was making oil at one time and I had to change out the diafram. good luck.

Thanks Cool Breeze. I took that low pressure fuel pump apart and it looked like it needed replacing, so I have one on order.
