2003 140 Johnson 4-stroke (again...)

I don’t know if this is really an issue… it seeme to “self correct”, but I thought I’d throw it out there and see if anyone had run into a similar issue.

I just got the engine out of the shop and took it for a shakedown. It ran well, but for a while, anytime I ran it at higher throttle to WOT, it would occassionally set off the alarm and all four warning lights would light up, then go off in sequence, just like it was running a pre-start self check. It would turn off, then do it again. It seemed to be more prone to this in chop, so I suspect(ed) a loose connection? At any rate, the alarm would shut off as soon as the lights went out (maybe a two second total event time). After a while, it stopped doing it entirely, but I wasn’t getting into the type of chop I was earlier.

Chris V or anybody have an idea or suggestion of where I should look? Or should I just take it back to the dude and let him see if he left something loose?

Thanks in advance…

sounds like a loose connection witht he keyswitch, which activates the self test
