I love my F115 and it runs like a champ, but I have this mysterious issue that I cannot figure out. To start off with, I have never put any ethanol enriched gasoline in it and I always use the marine grade stabil every time I fill up.
I crank up my engine and it idles perfectly. I will run it hard for 10 minutes or 45 minutes on 4k rpms going to a fishing spot. As soon as back down the throttle to idle speed, the engine cuts off. It cranks back up, but begins to idle rough. I can give it fuel and it runs like a new motor again, but every time I slow down to low rpm’s the engine shuts off? What the hell? Anybody have any suggestions?
I have an 2001 F115 it does exactly the same thing. I figure it’s some kind of sensor or maybe a fuel injector that is stuck open.
I’ve tried everything I can do and it still does it. I’m going have to have it checked out.
Chris V…you are always on the ball on this site and usually on the money. You fixed my last electrical problem. I wish I was a little closer to you and I would take it straight to you. I am in MB. i will see if I can find a local shop to help. Thanks! jeff
