My 2004 Mercury 60 2 stroke floods when run in tilt- IE, when in shallow water.
It also seems to like to flood just for spite.
Other than flooding, it runs very well.
Suggestions??
Thought about the carburetor needles needing cleaning?
Using fresh fuel. Boat is used 4-10+ times a month-…
Water fuel filter is new.
Plugs are new. I have not checked plugs for tell tale signs.

Will pulling needles show wear points?
Or just replace the needles?

most of these needles are of some type rubber ; they dont usually wear but become indented and fail to seal tight enough to prevent the fuel from flooding the bowl…just replace the needles also check the float itself if its a metal one if its of cork it’ll be OK.
