2006 Johnson 90 2 stroke woes

Ok, so my no oil alarm has resurfaced with another issue. The engine will start, idle, and get on plane fine and then will bog down and die out. I get the fuel priming bulb hard before I start and when the engine bogs down and dies, the bulb is soft. I don’t think I have a leak in the fuel system, as I can get the bulb hard as a rock and keep it there before I start the engine. My buddies and I were able to get back to the ramp last weekend by having someone sit in the back of the boat and lightly pump the bulb while we were running. I am still getting the no oil alarm every once in a while when I start the engine, always at idle or idle speed. I can turn the engine off and back on quickly and sometimes it won’t come back. I checked to make sure the oil line is not blocked in any way and the oil priming bulb gets hard and stays hard. There is fresh oil at the VRO oil inlet.

Any suggestions on what to check next?

IF YOU CAN KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING BY PUMPING THE BULB, YOU HAVE A FUEL PUMP ISSUE.
COULD BE FUEL LINE SUCKING AIR BETWEEN THE PRIMER BULB AND FUEL PUMP, BUT FUEL PUMP ISNT PUMPING ENOUGH FUEL AT HIGH RPMS

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING

Check your fuel tank vent lines. Mabe also check vacuum pulse line connected at fuel/oil pump for leaks. But not enough fuel in will mean not enough oil out. Check venting first.

I had the same problem, but mine would keep running. Run along fine, them the alarm would go off.Bring it down off plane shut it off for a minute crank it back up, and would be good for a while. Found out it was (got it fixed also) that the diaphragm on the oil side of the VRO was leaking. The service manger where I took it thought the VRO would have to be replaced, but one of the techs. new how to find the part, and fixed it. No more problems since.
