I have a 2008 Suzuki Df115 that is making an odd ticking noise when engaged in forward. No issues when in neutral or reverse, only when in forward. This noise suddenly appeared and does not seem to affect the performance of the engine. No vibrations, loss of power etc. I did not run aground, get tangled in a crab trap or do anything which could cause the shaft to bend. Maybe the linkage? Anyone ever have an issue like this? Any help would be appreciated.
I had a little ticking noise in a lower unit, turned out to be a chipped gear on the ring gear. Never really noticed it in reverse just forward.
Maybe dump your foot oil and look for any signs of metal or glitter. Hopefully it will be something much simpler.

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING
Thanks Chris. The noise is actually coming from the block area I’ve decided to bring it by your shop sometime next week.
