The Murrells Inlet Pelagic Shootout is right around the corner. The tournament will be held May 15 and 16. The Captains meeting will be on Friday and fishing is scheduled for Saturday. Once again we will be targeting Tuna, Dolphin, and Wahoo. The combined weight of your largest of each species will determine the winner of the tournament. We will also have 4 optional categories that will be based on the heaviest tuna, heaviest dolphin, heaviest wahoo, and overall heaviest fish caught in the tournament.
Participants will be allowed to depart from their home port if desired, but must bring their catch to the weigh station by boat. Last year due to the high price of fuel, we allowed fish to be driven to the weigh station. Fish may not be allowed to be transported by car this year.
The event will be held at Crazy Sisters Marina and we will once again have live music, cocktails, and food available each night. I hope to see a big turn out this year. For entry forms, rules, and questions, please contact Chris Morris @ 843 222 3533 or email cmpartner@aol.com.

The weather is up for Saturday and is looking good. S to SE 10 - 15 3 feet. Sounds a little better than last year’s 15 - 25 out of the good old NE. It looks like the Full Pull might of landed the elusive yellowfin tuna today as well. I am liking the way things are looking this weekends tournament. I also wanted to remind everyone that Wednesday is the last day to register before the cost of the tournament goes up $100. If you are planning on joining us or even considering it, please send me an email in order to give me your indication of interest. I am placing the final order for tournament shirts and would like to make sure I am ordering enough for the participants and guests. If any specific sizes are needed, now is the time to ask. I just approved the final proof for the shirts and they turned out great once again.
