I made a offshore trip Monday and when I got back to the ramp and was at idle I noticed a spitting sound from the motor. I noticed it was spitting from the exhaust at a constant intervals. Motor wasn’t overheating, had a good water stream and not running rough. Check oil it was clean, pulled plugs and they are all good. Anyone run into this issue?
Went to Hanckel and John and Mike (?) helped me out. They explained what was wrong and how it should work, that’s good service. Ended up replacing the poppet valve, spring, grommet and gasket. Back to new.
