The boat’s original outboard motor (Yamaha F70 4-stroke) caught fire. I repowered with a 2-stroke 70; It is a great motor for the hull. All electronics work. Sits on a brand new Wesco trailer. Motor: 1995 70TLRT Yamaha Outboard. The Yamaha 70TLR is a 2-stroke outboard and one of the best 70 hp motors ever built. It has 3 cylinders and oil injection so you do not have to mix gasil (some people do remove the oil injection and convert to mixed gas, but Yamahas are known to have the best oil injection for 2 strokes). Yamaha still makes this 2-stroke motor, but is it not available in the US; parts are very easy get. Motor is in good shape. Compression 135, 135, 130. All 3 carbs just cleaned/repaired at Marine Service in Rock Hill.
Trailer: Brand new 2019 Wesco trailer built for the Carolina Skiff 18 JVX. The trailer has the saltwater package and is in great shape. Trailer has remaining 1-year manufacturer warranty that expires late Sept. 2020. It has never been in salt water and only launched in fresh water (Lake Wylie) a handful of times.
