Hey just wanted to share a quick success story. My Minn Kota stopped turning and spinning and prior to that the GPS would barely lock on so I took it to N Charleston Marina who has a service tech for Minn Kotas. He told me the main control board was shot and it would cost me 600 with parts and labor to fix it. I found the control board on ebay for 175 dollars and had it replaced in an hour by taking photos of everything before I unplugged and replaced myself. It works better now than it ever has. A tip I heard is to never leave it plugged into the boat when charging the batteries which may have caused the problem. I hope this helps anyone having this issue as it took me forever to get it all figured out.
