2014 CharlestonFishing.com member oyster roast

Hey Pit…There is no cut off bring your arse on! I think Paul likes a cpl days for oyster orders, but other than that just show up. I believe everyone is expected to bring a side dish of some sort. (I don’t believe Bonzo’s extra 6 pack of PBR constituted a side dish.[ I could be wrong though]…)

I’m game. Will get the wife to make some authentic curry goat if y’all can hang :stuck_out_tongue:

Also put me down for a bushel

“mr keys”

Side dishes were wonderful in the past..but last year it was exceptional! We had such a variety of good food!

As for the bday party…why not make it a birthday party for everyone! And yes…I will bring a banner and even go to Costco and got a big sheet cake that says happy birthday to “ALL”

Ok…so a towel has been thrown down too about my large variety of rubber shrimp boots…so thers going to be a contest

Best rubber boots(as in how they look)

Fishing hat with the most “character”. Not on a character…there would be too many winners

And oldest most worn fishng jacket/shirt

I will have a prize too for the kid with the silliest/kookiest hat…10 and under…that rules you out bonzo and Henry!

Bonzo…we still doing the swap and sell shop like last year?

Btw…

Justcr…please ask the missus to bring some chow chow…that stuff is the best!..oh yeah…maybe a jar for the picnic too ;). Hehehe

And lemon bars! Who made the lemon bars last year?

And…and…

Man…I’m getting hugry already!

Dont forget to bring your foldout chairs!

I will bring some type of side dish also?

And Donnie said he will get some wood for the fireplace from his friend if needed.

I got it and put it to very good use before passing it on to another lucky soul. Boy Scouts love a good fart joke…

The wife and I will attend again this year. Looking forward to another fun event!

count me in for a bushel…I had a great time last year meeting everyone. I am going to drag the wife this year and a friend or two. I will have her make a pound cake or something awesome.

nuke: didn’t you make the shark tacos last year, if so you are required to bring that again.

My wife makes an awesome lemon bar. Those were not hers last year but I can have her make that for this year.

Ok…if you insist! And bring a copy of the recipe too please

Why don’t we all do that?

If you make something. . Write down the recipe so others can get it…if you don’t mind sharing! We can post them for copying! Cf oyster roast cook book!

Dang Penny! That is actually a brilliant idea. I have a friend that works for a local bindery. We might actually be able to something with a CF cook book… hmmm wheels are a turnin…

Penny could fill that up on her own.

Is there going to be a shrimp dip recipe in this collection???

Sounds like a great event…how many people attend? Mr. CreekGirl and I are interested…never been. I love oysters and paint them on canvas often.

the last couple of years the weather has turned out to be incredible…you know those 70 degree days you get in late Jan? yep, that’s what we had…I’d say we had 80-100 the last few years…it really is a fun time…zero pressure, just come on out and eat and chat and make some new friends…oh and stuff your face with great food too!
