I would have to agree w/ Itch here. Why does he need twins? Sounds like he does not plan to venture more than few miles off the beach. Alot more cost in maint. w/ twins. All of the boats listed here hold their value well. Especailly the Edge Water and Scout. The console lay out on the Everglades is pretty nice. I would have to take each one for a test drive. Would lean towards the Scout or Everglades based on my limited research of this style boat. Would be curious on how much cost difference there is between each one. Also the Yam 250 4S is one sweet motor.
It’s not that I need twins, but it’s an available boat in the same price range. These are all boats advertised in the greater Charleston/Beaufort area. I looked at a 1 year old Everglades 223 in Virginia but decided I didn’t want to deal with someone far away if had post-purchase issues. To date, I haven’t gone beyond 4KI or LCA in my own boat (it’s only 18.5 feet).
If I was in the market for a CC right now I would be looking very closely and this boat. I called the owner just for kicks and the boat seems to be in excellent condition. Not a single stress crack, no issues with motors. 900 hrs

A boat like that Sailfish will be my next, next boat. I want to keep the next boat in my sideyard and I’m restricted by beam (trailer wheels/guide-ons incl.) and prop-to-hitch length. Can’t go 9’ beam until I decide to get a marina slip; or perhaps knock the kitchen off my house.
If it helps any the customer service that scout offers is outstanding. We had a 23 foot scout and currently have a 28 foot and they stand behind their product. Take a trip to Summerville an watch one being made an it will all but convince you to buy one, good luck and happy buying

2006 Scout SF 24 with Yam 250 4s
2004 Edgewater 225 with Yam 225
2007 Key West 230 with Yam twin 115’s
2007 Everglades 223 with Yam 250
Out of these 4 specific boats you’ve listed, if all are in the same condition and are the same $, I would get the everglades hands down for what you have said you want to do. You won’t go badly wrong with any of them unless you use them in a way other than what you’ve said. All have good resale value, and the two SC companies, Key West and Scout definately have great customer service and great dealer support locally.
I second what has been said about twins if not for true offshore use. Also, for this size boat, it doesn’t usually make sense performance-wise or efficiency-wise to have twins. A 25 or 26ft model in the above brands is where twin 4cyl four strokes start to make more sense IMHO.
