I have a friend that is looking at a 08 22’ Sea Hunt Triton with an F150 Yamaha. My question is: does anyone have this boat/motor combination and how does it perform. Thanks for the replies.,

I had a 202 Sea Hunt with a F150 and it was a decent package with 35-47 mph and you could get 5 mpg if you throttled back on half a tank. I bought a heavier boat for a better ride.
Sorry I cant help with this setup. I can tell you I have the 232 with a Yamaha 225. It runs a is perfect condition WOT around 40mph. It avg about 3mpg on a blue water trip.

I have a Sea Hunt 212 with the Yammie 150. I have had it since 2002 and have used the hell out of it. It is a great boat for the jetties and inshore. it will go about 41-42 with a full load. If he stays in the river and nearshore it’s perfect. I have been doing more offshore stuff in the last couple years and while I like the way the boat handles, I would go with the 200 yammie for the extra power in rougher seas. For inshore he will not be dissapointed.
I have a 05 22’ Sea Hunt Navigator with a Yamaha 150. I can run around 38 to 42 mph depending on the load. Not sure on mpg. I have been real happy with it. Not sure if this helps but though I would throw in my 2 cents.
I have an '08 210 ultra w/ '07 yamaha 150 4 stroke. its runs fine with the 150 topping out around 41mph with a full load. The seahunt’s deep V handles excellent in rough water as long as you have trim tabs. the tabs make all the difference in the world when conditions get rough. my only complaint would be the 65 gal. fuel tank. I’ve been 70 miles off of Edisto fished all day and had 11 gallons to spare. thats a little too close for comfort in my book.
