Left the Harbor at 415 and ran south towards 226. Thought the charts showed a great temp break and thought it was time for the dolphin to show up thick. We dropped lines in around 600 ft and immediately picked up two slingers. Continued offshore to look for warm water and/or temp breaks. Around 1200 ft of water we found a nice weedline that went for miles. Caught two nice dolphin on the planer rod. After that, we missed three other shots at dolphin. Had a small billfish come up and play with three baits, but we could not get a hook in him. Around noon, the winds picked up so we decided to head back home. Nice day on the ocean, plenty of bait in the water…should be soon that the fishing will be hot.
