My bote will hold far more than 600lbs. That won’t sell it to anyone except hardcore fishermen though. Fritz isn’t going to shovel that much ice or catch that many fish. Perhaps he is skerd… Unlike you, lsk.
But the asterisk above was because that tag line used to be cracker’s, and that’s what this thread turned into, figuratively speaking.
What is the dusky getting replaced with, and when can I go fishing with those guys? You can tell a real fisherman by his boat and gear…
PHIN
I have been commercial fishing a bigger boat when in SC (someone elses) and when in MASS we do bluefin charters, so the boat hasn’t been getting used enough to justify having it, it will most likely be replaced by something big enough to chase the tuna down the coast when I am done fishing in Gloucester. I don’t know if you are familiar with Duskys, but there are few 23ft classed boats that are as big or heavy as a Dusky it is 27ft from back of bracket to the bow. Although I enjoy fishing center consoles I am getting to used to having a bed, a toilet, a microwave, a shower etc… Did I just say I was getting soft? As far as fishing with me - if you want to come to Gloucester, anytime from June to November (www.Tunahuntercharters) or you can wait til mid November, we’ll run out of Mcclellanville and beat up a couple wahoo.
Yeah but everyone sells the used ones - sorry lsk that was just too easy.
You said it yourself that my Palmetto would be better to fish out of than your Dusky.
My Palmetto is not for sale. Your Dusky is.

maybe fuelwise - not gonna argue with you - learned my lesson about arguing with women along time ago - now I just say ok - ok
Not true Dave…
You said it would be pretty sick to fish out of. You like the transom, don’t you…

Many moons ago, I used to fish on a Dusky, actually two of them, one gas engines, one a single diesel, here, out of Charleston. Not owned by me…and…that is all I will say about that…
Just curious as to why you had to replace the sub-flooring…and bulkheads…on a '93 boat.
Oh, and in case you are wondering why I posted on this thread…not many here have Dusky boats. It interested me as I have had experience fishing on them, probably one of the few around these parts that has done so.

You miss me, don’t you.

the bulkhead in front of batteries had to come out to get tanks in - in front of bulkhead was storage in floor. It was constructed with divider (bulkhead) between front and rear section of floor, seemed better just to start over than to try to tie it all together, bulkhead is now removable to access or remove pony tanks if you don’t need them. All materials were fit and resin coated on both sides before fiberglassing and gel coating. All fiberglass work was professionally done,(it is better and more functional than factory)
