Clemson vs Syracuse,
New Years Day 1996…Clemson got whipped.
I was a sophomore in high school. A buddy of mine’s dad took me and him to Florida. We ate at a Hooters; it was a big deal. It was when I first realized that Clemson wasn’t for me…all that orange in that stadium made me want to vomit.
My first South Carolina Gamecocks Game:
Was when I was a senior in high school. September 21st, 1996 vs East Carolina. SC lost.
I watched the Gamecocks with my Dad growing up. I don’t remember the first game I ever saw with him, but I was brought up in a household that didn’t allow Clemson talk. They were rarely on tv back in those days.
My first college football game was the Citadel…I have no idea how old I was…7, 8, 9, I don’t know.
Nobody wins a bloomin onion.

I came up to a few games just barely before BoutDone was hired, and those years were very rough, as you saw. I watched Virginia, GaTech, and FSU routinely beat the mess out of us. They were not close games either. It was nasty. There was a moment of weakness where I applied to Carolina at the same time I applied to Clemson even…
Fishb8, et al, probably would have never fathomed that, just as we could have never fathomed that you went to a Clemson game before a Carolina game.

I thought I explained earlier in the week how Fritz, 23sailfish and the winner of this contest could all be made happy by a lamecoots iphone case being given to the winner by Fritz. It would then become clear to 23sailfish that Fritz was not a fan of said lamecoots, and Fritz could then go back to being an Ole Miss and closet Clemson fan.
