2nd Annual Murrells Inlet Pelagic Shootout

We are talking about having this year’s tournament Saturday, May 17th. The tournament will once again be held at Crazy Sisters Marina. The confirmed date will be announced next week. I have spoken to a lot of people who are excited about fishing this year who could not make it last year due to the short notice. I think we are going to have a great turn out this year and look forward to talking to everyone who is interested. Last year we fished for Wahoo, Dolphin, and Tuna. This year we are talking about adding Kingfish to the lineup. Let me know your opinion on both the proposed date and adding Kings to the tournament as soon as possible. You can post a response to this thread, call me at 843 907 0994, or email me at cmpartner@aol.com. We will officially announce all of the details next week. I look forward to hearing your opinions.

Chris, This sounds fun. How many boats fished with ya’ll last year? How did the crew of the Golden Lady do? Add the mercury missles to the tournament for sure this year.

Dont ruin a perfectly good tourney by adding Kingfish…

A’rgh, matey, I say YES to the KINGS!! It’s what we specialize in-----er,lose in—er, try to compete in…however you put it…

how was the turnout last year?

Thanks for all of the comments and replies. I will try and keep everyone in mind when finalizing the date. I picked the 17th because it was the only weekend I could find that did not have another tournament to compete with. The Edisto Tournament is the same weekend, however I did not think it would be a problem. The following weekend, there is a king tournament out of Swansboro, NC.
There is a tournament every weekend in June and Gtown is the last weekend in May.

Dan, I would love to see you make it this year. We had a couple of boats from Charleston last year and hope to have many more this year.

Soup, you do not have to leave from MI. I will post the rules for this year’s event later in the week. If you would like to check last years rules and results, click on my screen name and look at the posts I made last June regarding the tournament.

Anyone who has any interest or comments, feel free to give me a call, 843 907 0994. Everyone who fished the event lst year had nothing but good things to say about it. We paid out close to $40000 in cash in prizes in last year’s event. This year is looking to be substantially higher given the interest that we have already recieved. This year is guaranteed to have a better turn out because we will not be competing against other tournaments and the amount of time we have before the event. It is my goal to have a minimum of 50 boats this year. We will once again have a Calcutta and I will be writing some FAT checks this year to the best fishermen who participate.

I will post a list of the boats that fished last year so you can talk to some of the people who fished the tournament in order to get a better feel for things.

Crazy Sister’s is the perfect place to have the event. For those of you who have not been to the marina, they have an outdoor gazebo bar where we set up that is awesome. I don’t know how they get all of the little hotties to show up, but they got it going on! Their Staff was 1st class and went out of their way to help out. Set

I would like for anyone who participated in the 2007 tournament to please take a minute to post any comments you have regarding the overall quality and experience you had at the event. I think that the people who fished last year can give everyone considering fishing this year the best answers to the questions posted on this thread. Thanks for your help!

I forgot to add Booty’s to the list of 2007 sponsors.
