2nd Annual SSWA Cobia Flotilla

We had our 2nd annual cobia event for the Summerville Saltwater Angler’s club. Its a way to build fellowship within our club. We had 5 boats and 16 people come for the event. We had an extremely difficult time finding menhaden…they are just not filled in consistently yet. Fishing was slow, but the day was beautiful and one of our boats did land a keeper. Not a huge fish, but a beauty nonetheless at 37.5" and approx 24 lbs. We did have plenty of action with sharks and rays and a few monster mystery-fish that nearly spooled and/or broke off.
